Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Al
(And some stuff you probably didn't!)

Here is a list of questions I frequently get asked:-
(For those interested and with an iron constitution, comprehensive answers are provided)
A) My earliest recollection is as a toddler scavenging in cupboards, looking for my mother's egg slicer which was, rather ironically, equipped with six cutting wires, pitched somewhat discordantly, yet still capable of producing a kind of avant-garde melody. Well, from tiny acorns

A) The answer is everyone and no-one. I say 'everyone' because I am a consummate listener to what others are doing and, whenever possible, I have always asked questions - lots of them

A) I work from my home in Cornwall, England. I have a small but very high quality studio based around an Apple Mac G5. The sequencer I use is Logic Pro which I augment with various software plug-ins

A) The main core of my work comes in the form of 'street entertaining.' I can often be seen performing in the West Country towns of Truro, Exeter, Barnstable, Newton Abbot, Plymouth, and, occasionally, further afield

A) Sort of. I am a very keen electric guitarist and have several treasured instruments that I have used with various band projects

A) The name actually came about as a result of a joke more than anything else. One year I decided to go in for the Plymouth 'battle-of-the-bands' competition

A) Quite! I guess it is because I am not as pretty as Britney Spears and have far more musical talent then Noel Gallagher! Life is so unjust! Honestly though, I really think the BBC should do a fly on the wall documentary about street performers. I'm up for it if the viewers could stand it.

A) Who Knows where tomorrow goes? I will continue to play the towns of the West of England and to sell my albums far and wide, developing the internet side of the business. Hopefully, I will be producing at least one new recording of Spanish guitar based music a year. Eventually, though, I feel that a combination of the British weather and our ridiculous political shenanigans will force me (ever so reluctantly of course!) to relocate abroad.
Long term plans are to make the break into producing compositions for film and television. I would love to create an orchestral soundtrack album as a complete diversion from the guitar music I am associated with.
